River Battle is a new interactive water raft ride at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The ride is located behind the Mystery Mine Roller coster in the new Wilderness Pass section of the park, and it opened on March 21, 2008.
River Battle has an hourly ride capacity of 800 passengers. The ride is one of five rides built by 3DBA called Splash Battle located at Legoland California, Walibi Holland, Mirabilandia, and Alton Towers.
The project also included a new 750-foot (230 m) walkway called Wilderness Pass that provides a direct route to the park’s Craftsman’s Valley area from Timber Canyon. The new connector represents the largest earthworks project since the Dollywood Express train’s track bed was completed in 1960. The connector project included moving 170,000 cubic yards (130,000 m3) of soil and rocks—the equivalent of 8,500 truck loads. There was also a new set of restrooms and another first aid/safety office built. The Lye Soap Shop was also moved here from Craftman's Valley.
